May 2011: DISTINCTION® CERTIFIED FOR HP INDIGO PRESSES
Distinction®, an uncoated paper range with an extremely smooth surface, has recently been certified for HP Indigo presses. Thanks to the addition of a sophisticated surface treatment during the paper making process, Distinction® Digital for HP Indigo has a long shelf life and can be used without any additional specialist surface coating. The paper has very good runnability with excellent printing results.

The new Distinction® brochure is available! 
With the new Distinction® brochure, Lana invites you to experience an exceptional paper range which is merging ecology with whiteness, delicateness and quality.
It is dedicated to a new element of the range – Distinction® Bamboo which was launched at the beginning of this year and which is produced with bamboo fibres. This choice of pulp is based on ecological reasons, because this reed is growing and regrowing easily, even when completely cut down. Its capacity to absorb CO2 exceeds that of a broadleaf tree of 30%. Samples of this product will help you to compare the touch of the different papers in the Distinction® range and to discover the diversity and creative possibilities of the range. Furthermore, Distinction® Bamboo has proved itself as an ideal paper for digital laser printing, just like the whole Distinction® range, which is already available in a specific Digital size. This brochure will enable you to compare the printing results, the same image being printed in offset and digital print.

DISTINCTION® BAMBOO: THE NATURAL AND PERENNIAL SOURCE OF YOUR CREATIVITY
At the very beginning of the year 2010, LANA Papier Spéciaux is launching Distinction® Bamboo, the first graphical paper based on Bamboo fibres. The new ecological product is going to be presented at Paperworld 2010 in Frankfurt/Germany in cooperation with Hahnemühle FineArts.
Bamboo is a strong perennial plant, growing easily on any type of soil, even the poorest ones, and it is consuming up to 30% more CO² than a broadleaf. Its cultivation requires neither fertiliser, nor pesticide, thus contributing to the balance of the ecosystem.
Used in the manufacture of paper for hundreds of years in China, LANA Papier now uses the bamboo fibres in the production of its range Distinction® Bamboo in order to create a paper with an incomparable silky touch, pure and natural at the same time. In inspiring a burst of creativity, this paper will give to your projects the appropriate substance and meaning as well as a strong environmental credential.
